Social Media Strategy & Audit

A one-time audit and plan before committing to ongoing social media work.

A social media strategy engagement starts with evidence: an audit of current profiles, content and performance, a review of the audience and the competitive set, and a clear view of what the channel is expected to contribute commercially. The output is a practical plan covering positioning, platform priorities, content pillars, cadence, production needs, measurement and the internal approvals required to run it.

Why this matters

The problems this solves

These are the situations that bring businesses to social media strategy. If more than one sounds familiar, the gap is usually structural rather than tactical.

  • Social activity that exists without a stated commercial purpose
  • Too many platforms and too little consistency on any of them
  • Content that does not reflect how the business actually sells
  • No agreement on what success looks like or how it will be measured
  • A planned relaunch with no clear operating model behind it

Who it is for

Who should consider this

Social Media Strategy fits best in these situations. If yours is adjacent, tell us and we will say honestly whether it is the right fit.

  • Businesses starting social media work for the first time
  • Teams whose current activity has grown without a plan
  • Companies preparing to hire in-house or appoint an agency
  • Leadership teams that need a defensible budget and scope

Common questions

Social Media Strategy, answered

What does the audit cover?
The profiles, content and activity that already exist, the audience the business is trying to reach, the competitive set and the measurement in place. We review what is published, how it performs and whether it supports the commercial goal.
Is this a one-time project?
Yes. The strategy and audit is a defined one-time engagement. It can stand alone, or lead into social media management or paid social if the plan calls for ongoing execution.
How long does the engagement take?
The timeline is agreed in the proposal and depends on the number of profiles, the access provided and the number of stakeholders involved. We set the schedule before work begins rather than leaving it open.
Do you implement the plan as part of the strategy?
No. Implementation is a separate scope. The strategy defines what should happen, in what order and how it will be measured; management, production and paid media are quoted separately if you want us to run them.
Will you tell us to leave platforms we already use?
If the evidence supports it, yes. The plan prioritises the platforms where the audience and the offer fit. We explain the reasoning so the decision is yours rather than a matter of preference.
What do we receive at the end?
A written strategy with the audit findings, recommended positioning, content pillars, platform and cadence plan, measurement framework and a prioritised roadmap. The exact deliverables are listed in the proposal.
